A Matrica alternative for token-gated Discord roles, for holders with several wallets and chains.

If your server uses Matrica for holder verification and you are looking at alternatives, this page explains how NXT handles members with several wallets, cold wallets, and holdings across EVM chains, and how to make the switch.

Think about how your holders hold

Collectors rarely keep everything in one place. They split holdings across hot and cold wallets and across chains. A verification setup should count all of it without asking anyone to use a cold wallet.

In NXT, a member can link several wallets, and holdings are summed across all of them, including delegated cold wallets. Cold wallets are imported through delegate.xyz v2 full-wallet delegations, read on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, and ApeChain, so the cold wallet never sends or signs anything. Because an EVM address is the same on every chain, one proof covers rules on every chain.

NXT supports EVM chains. If part of your community holds assets on a non-EVM chain, plan for that before switching.

What NXT does for multi-wallet holders

Several wallets

Members can link several wallets to one Discord account. Holdings are summed for every rule.

Cold wallet import

delegate.xyz v2 full-wallet delegations link a cold wallet to a proven hot wallet.

One proof, every server

A wallet proven once works in every server that uses NXT.

Member self-service

Members see and remove wallets with My wallets in Discord or at nxtnft.app/account.

Any EVM chain

44 built-in networks, plus any EVM chain you add with its chain ID and RPC URLs.

One wallet, one account

Each wallet belongs to one Discord account. A fresh proof moves it and re-checks the previous account.

Switching from Matrica. Both bots run side by side.

  1. Add NXT and rules

Add NXT, move its role above your holder roles, and recreate each rule against the same Discord roles.

  2. Tell holders about cold wallets

Ask members with cold wallets to delegate on delegate.xyz, prove a hot wallet, then click Import delegated wallets.

  3. Re-verify and retire

Members click Verify once. When the verified count looks right, remove the previous bot.

After members re-verify

Members who already linked a wallet on NXT in another server are checked against your rules on the next scheduled sweep, even before they click Verify in your server. Everyone else proves a wallet once in your verification channel.

NXT never removes roles from members who have not linked a wallet on NXT, so members who take a while to re-verify keep the roles your current bot gave them.

Questions and straight answers.

Do holdings in several wallets count together?
Yes. NXT sums holdings across every wallet a member has proven, including delegated cold wallets.
Does a cold wallet need to sign anything?
No. Delegate the entire cold wallet to a hot wallet on delegate.xyz (v2), prove the hot wallet, and import the delegation.
Are delegations limited to one contract imported?
No. Only full-wallet delegations are imported. Delegations limited to a single contract or token are not.
Can members remove a wallet later?
Yes, in Discord with My wallets or at nxtnft.app/account. Every server they are in re-checks their roles right away.
