Wallet verification without connecting a wallet or signing anything.

NXT proves wallet ownership with a same-wallet transfer: the member sends a tiny, unique amount from their wallet back to the same wallet on any listed EVM network. The funds never leave their control, and the only cost is the network fee.

Members are told never to connect

Security advice in Web3 communities is consistent: do not connect your wallet to sites you do not trust, and do not sign messages you do not understand. Verification flows that ask for exactly that put members in an awkward position, and they make phishing pages that imitate them more convincing.

Holders of valuable collections often keep them in cold wallets that they do not want to use for anything.

How a same-wallet transfer proves ownership

Only the owner of a wallet can send a transaction from it. NXT shows the member a unique amount, and the member sends exactly that amount from the wallet to itself on a network of their choice. NXT finds the transaction, checks the sender, recipient, and amount, and links the wallet to the member's Discord account. The transaction hash is optional: without it, NXT searches recent blocks. Each challenge expires after one hour.

Where the server enables it, members can instead add a short code to the bio of the OpenSea profile for that wallet. For cold wallets, a delegate.xyz v2 full-wallet delegation to a proven hot wallet can be imported, so the cold wallet never sends or signs anything.

A wallet proven once works in every server that uses NXT.

Set it up. Three steps.

  1. Click Verify

The member clicks Verify in your channel and chooses Same-wallet transfer.

  2. Send to self

They send the exact amount shown from the wallet to the same wallet, on a network where they have gas.

  3. Confirm

They click I sent it, optionally paste the hash, and roles are checked right away.

Proof details

Any listed network

An EVM address is the same on every chain, so members can prove on whichever network is cheapest for them.

Funds stay put

The amount goes back to the same wallet. Only the network fee is spent.

No external site

Everything happens in your verification channel. No links, no DMs.

OpenSea bio code

An optional second method where the server enables it and OpenSea data is available.

delegate.xyz

Full-wallet v2 delegations are read on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, and ApeChain.

Member controls

Members see and remove linked wallets in Discord with My wallets, or at nxtnft.app/account.

Questions and straight answers.

Does a self-transfer cost anything?
Only the network fee. The amount is sent from the wallet back to the same wallet, so the member keeps it.
Do members need the transaction hash?
No. If they leave it blank, NXT searches recent blocks for the transfer and asks for the hash only if too many blocks have passed.
Can a wallet be linked to two Discord accounts?
No. Each wallet belongs to one Discord account at a time. A fresh proof from another account moves it, and the previous account's roles are re-checked.
How do cold wallets verify?
Delegate the entire cold wallet to a hot wallet on delegate.xyz (v2), prove the hot wallet, then click Import delegated wallets.
