A Collab.Land alternative for token-gated Discord roles, with a switch your members barely notice.
If your server uses Collab.Land for token-gated roles today and you are evaluating other options, this page explains how NXT approaches the same job and how to move over without a gap in access. NXT grants Discord roles from on-chain holdings on 44 built-in EVM networks, any EVM chain you add, and Solana.
What to look at when you evaluate
Switching verification bots touches every holder in your server, so it is worth checking a few things first: how members prove a wallet, which rule types you need, how often roles are re-checked, and what happens to roles during the transition.
NXT is built around a few specific choices. Members never connect a wallet or sign a message: they send a tiny unique amount from a wallet to itself on any listed network, or add a code to their OpenSea profile bio where you enable it. Roles are re-checked on NFT transfers within seconds and on a schedule, and they are removed only when a check definitively shows a member no longer qualifies.
The comparison that matters is with your own setup. List the roles your current bot manages and the conditions behind each one, then check that every one has a matching NXT rule using the table in the migration guide.
What NXT provides for token-gated roles
Thirteen rule kinds
Contract, OpenSea collection, Token IDs, Trait, Quantity, ERC-20, Staking, Native balance, Combo, Custom API, Solana NFT collection, Solana token, and Solana trait.
No wallet connection
Same-wallet transfer proofs with an optional transaction hash, or an OpenSea bio code where enabled.
Real-time re-checks
NFT transfers on gated contracts re-check the sender and receiver within seconds on every plan.
Scheduled sweep
Every verified member is re-checked every 2 days on Free, daily on Standard, and hourly on Pro.
Safe removals
Unknown results, such as an RPC timeout, never remove a role.
Shared proofs
A wallet proven once works in every server that uses NXT.
Switching from Collab.Land. Both bots run side by side.
Add NXT alongside
Add NXT and move its role above the holder roles Collab.Land assigns today. Keep the current bot in place for now.
Recreate each rule
In Dashboard > Token gated roles, add an NXT rule for each role and point it at the same Discord role.
Post the NXT panel
Post the verify panel and ask members to click Verify once. Track progress in Dashboard > Members.
During and after the switch
NXT never removes roles from members who have not linked a wallet on NXT, so members who take a while to re-verify keep the roles your current bot gave them.
When the verified count looks right, remove the previous bot and its old verification channel. If some members still hold NXT-managed roles without a linked wallet, the dashboard shows how many and offers a button that removes those roles from unverified members only, skipping protected users and recording every removal in the activity log.
Collab.Land is a trademark of its owner. NXT is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Collab.Land. This page describes NXT only; check the other product's own documentation for its current features.
