A MEE6 alternative for NFT communities, with holder roles built in.
If your server uses MEE6 for community tools and also needs roles based on what members hold, this page explains what NXT covers and how to move features over one at a time. NXT combines reaction roles, polls, embed messages, onboarding steps, and giveaways with token-gated roles on EVM chains and Solana.
Decide which jobs move
General community bots cover many jobs, and NFT servers often run one next to a separate verification bot. Before you switch, list the features your server actually uses day to day, such as reaction roles, announcements, welcome messages, polls, and giveaways.
NXT focuses on what NFT and token communities need. Reaction roles have no limit on messages, polls let you choose which roles can create them, embeds can be edited in place after they are posted, and giveaways can be weighted by the roles or NFTs a member holds. Every role NXT adds or removes shows up in one role history per member.
NXT does not try to do everything a general purpose bot does. If your server depends on features outside this list, keep that bot for those jobs and move the rest.
Community tools in NXT
Reaction roles
No limit on messages, four modes (toggle, unique, add only, remove only), standard and custom emoji.
Polls
Up to 20 options, one vote or several, results posted automatically, and you choose which roles can create polls.
Embed messages
A builder with a live Discord preview. Edit a posted message in place, or import JSON from Discohook.
Onboarding
Welcome, rules, a channel map, and an intro prompt, delivered privately when a member clicks Verify. No DMs.
Giveaways
Weighted by roles or NFTs held, with winners re-checked at the draw.
Token-gated roles
Thirteen rule kinds across EVM chains and Solana. Members verify without connecting a wallet.
Switching from MEE6. One feature at a time.
Add NXT
Add NXT to your server and move its role above every role you want it to hand out.
Move one feature at a time
Rebuild reaction roles, polls, or embeds in the NXT dashboard. Reaction roles can be added to a message you already have.
Turn off the overlap
Once a feature works in NXT, switch it off in the other bot so members only see one of each.
Running both bots
Two bots can share a server without trouble. To avoid double handling, finish moving a feature before turning it off in the other bot. For example, remove the old reaction role setup from a message before NXT adds its own reactions to it.
Every dashboard change appears in the activity log, and every role NXT adds or removes is listed in the member's role history with the reason.
MEE6 is a trademark of its owner. NXT is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by MEE6. This page describes NXT only; check the other product's own documentation for its current features.
