Onboarding shows new members the essentials when they click Verify: a welcome, your rules, a map of important channels, and a prompt to introduce themselves. Steps are delivered as ephemeral messages, so only the member sees them and your channel stays clean. NXT does not send DMs.
Steps
| Step | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Welcome | A short introduction to your project and what the server is for |
| Rules | Your community rules |
| Map | A channel guide: pick up to 10 channels and add a one-line note for each |
| Intro | An invitation to introduce themselves, in your own words, for example naming your intro channel |
Each step has a title, body text, and an optional button label for moving to the next step.
Placement
Each step can run:
- Before verification: shown when the member clicks Verify, before the wallet check. Good for welcome and rules.
- After verification: shown after the member's wallet check result, with a Next button. Good for the map and the intro prompt, because a member who received roles can now see the channels you point to.
Set it up
- Open Dashboard > Onboarding.
- Turn onboarding on.
- Add the steps you want. Use only the ones you need.
- Choose before or after for each step, and reorder them as needed.
- Save. The next member who clicks Verify sees the new flow.
Onboarding runs from the verification panel, so set that up first.
