Do members connect a wallet?
No. Members prove a wallet from inside Discord with a same-wallet transfer or, where enabled, an OpenSea profile code. There is no website, no wallet connection, and no signature.
How does NXT prove wallet ownership?
Three ways, all of which only the wallet owner can complete:
- Same-wallet transfer: send a small unique amount from the wallet to itself on any network NXT lists, then confirm it. Pasting the transaction hash is optional but faster.
- OpenSea profile: put a short code in the bio of the wallet's OpenSea profile. Available when OpenSea data is enabled.
- delegate.xyz: cold wallets that made a full-wallet delegation to a proven hot wallet can be imported with the Import delegated wallets button.
Wallets already proven anywhere on NXT are recognized in every server that uses NXT.
Which chains does NXT support?
Any EVM chain. 44 networks are built in, and any other EVM chain can be added to your server with its chain ID and RPC URLs. See Networks.
What happens when a holder sells?
For NFTs on your gated contracts, NXT picks up the transfer on its next poll of the chain, usually within seconds, and re-checks the seller and buyer if they have linked those wallets. The role is removed only if the seller's remaining holdings no longer satisfy any rule for that role. ERC-20, native balance, and custom API rules are re-checked by the hourly sweep.
Will members lose roles if an RPC endpoint or API is down?
No. If NXT cannot determine a result with certainty, the result is treated as unknown, and unknown results never remove a role. NXT tries again on the next check.
Does NXT remove roles from members who never verified?
No. Roles are only removed from members who have proven at least one wallet on NXT (or removed their last one) and no longer qualify. Members who never linked a wallet keep the roles another bot gave them, which makes it safe to add NXT alongside that bot. A member who linked a wallet in another server is checked against your rules too.
Can a member use several wallets?
Yes. A member can prove as many wallets as they like. Holdings are added up across all of their wallets when rules are checked.
What happens if we go over our plan limits?
You get 30 days to upgrade or trim. After that, new role grants pause until you are back within limits. Existing roles are never removed because of a limit. See Plans and limits.
Does NXT DM members?
No. NXT never sends direct messages. Personal steps are delivered as ephemeral replies in your server that only the member can see.
Can I use NXT on more than one server?
Yes, on as many as you like. See Multiple servers.
Who can manage NXT in my server?
The server owner and anyone with the Manage Server or Administrator permission in Discord.
